Episode 69 - Christian Mills is the Head of Financial Advisor Relations for Reverse Mortgage Funding LLC (RMF). He has spent the last 25 years working in financial services, mainly in the retirement planning arena. Christian began at Fiserv Trust Company, initially working in IRA Custody; he then moved to the qualified plan division, Trustlynx.
Following positions focused on Trust and Custody, TPA, and record-keeping, he worked for the national headquarters of the Financial Planning Association in Corporate Relations. While at FPA, his view of reverse mortgages was dramatically shifted by the academic work of John Salter, Wade Pfau, and Harold Evensky, as published in the Journal of Financial Planning.
Christian graduated from the University of Kentucky and the University of Denver and is a self-professed Behavioral Finance nerd. A constantly evolving “new normal” for Americans in retirement brought Christian to RMF, where he focuses on educating financial professionals and their clients on appropriate strategies for using the new reverse mortgage.
