On Episode 23 of the Everything Caravan & Camping - ECC Podcast, we talk about the real weight of what you put in your caravan, new Vitrifrigo fridge range arriving in Australia, the oldest caravan park in Queensland, that has just had a makeover, and an easy to cook Thai Fried Rice recipe from super chef Harry Fisher.

Host Scott Hillier catches up with Mobile Caravan Weighing Dave Lewis, to talk about the Weight and Towing Masterclass hot topic – how much everything weighs when you load it into the caravan.

Dave said often families underestimate what the total weight is they have put in their vans, making them at risk of being overweight. He provides handy advice to ensure you are safe before you leave home.

ECC product expert Charlie Graham joins Scott to talk about Vitrifrigo upright fridges joining the Leisure-Tec Australia stable of quality brands for 4WD, camper trailer and caravanners.

The new range available in April, includes a new draw fridge, 4WD upright fridges through to camper trailer and caravan upright fridges.

Scott catches up with an old friend Mark Carson from Your Caravan Man, who he travelled to Cape York with.

Mark talks about travelling with his kids, and provides some great advice to caravanners on how to protect and keep their caravans safe and roadworthy.

Chef extraordinaire, Harry Fisher of Fire To Fork, talks about working on his second book.

He delivers another mouthwatering campsite recipe, Thai Fried Rice, which he suggests tastes even better when re-heated through the pan.

With a wok, grab a few garlic clothes, half an onion, spring onion, 250 grams of prawns or other protein and eggs with oyster sauce, fish sauce, and sesame oil and rice. You will have a meal that will fill the bellies of the entire family and friends.

ECCParks Jason Filippini talks about the busy Christmas season, and discusses the ultimate caravan park – Cotton Tree Holiday Park, the oldest caravan park in Queensland.

Family generations have called Cotton Tree home for their annual holidays and Jason describes why it is such an iconic park you must put on your holiday schedule.

With 170 sites, right on the water, it is a massive park with cabins, beach house, five amenity blocks, camp kitchen, and a new outdoor entertainment space has just been completed.

The outdoor space allows for movies to be shown, with a family friendly beer garden atmosphere, creating Queensland’s best caravan park.
