God broke into this sinful world with the ministry of His Son, Jesus. John prepared the way for the ministry of Jesus. This is found in Matthew 3:1-17. As John the Baptist baptized people, he said Jesus will baptize with the Holy Spirit and fire. It would be a different baptism.
