In this episode, host David "Vegas" Shuman discusses with Grainne Owen
Co-Founder and President of Curing Kids cancer of the incredible success of a recent event at the MOTOBLOT rally in Chicago. He shares the story of how a pediatric oncology nurse named Angelina won the Miss Vintage MOTOBLOT 2022 pageant and expressed her desire to help children with cancer. Through a collaboration with Motorcycle Knuckle Busters and Kirsh Helmets, they decided to auction off a specially designed helmet to raise funds for Curing Kids Cancer. The goal was to raise $25,000, which would cover the cost of T-cell therapy for a child. The auction exceeded expectations, with the helmet being sold three times for a total of $18,000. However, the generosity didn't stop there, as a friend of the foundation stepped forward and purchased a sweatshirt for $7,000, bringing the total raised to $25,000. The hosts express their gratitude to all the supporters and emphasize the importance of saving children's lives through these fundraising efforts. They also discuss the possibility of sharing their story on NBC to reach a wider audience and continue making a difference. The episode concludes with a discussion about upcoming events and auctions, including the Mecum auction in Vegas. To learn more about Curing Kids Cancer, head to the link ⬇️:
