Welcome back to Silver Dollar City as we discuss the best rides and attractions that you will find at this amazing park. We start off with one of the oldest attractions at the park, Grandfather's Mansion. This fun house will have your senses confused and brain even more confused as you peek in on someone showering at this family park. Now that we are disoriented, we hit all the best roller coasters. Starting out with Wildfire, this B&M coaster (whatever that means) is extremely smooth and extremely loopy. I'm not sure that's how you should say it but you get my point!
Next, we blast off at Powderkeg, not Powerkeg. Can you spot where the old track meets the new track? We discuss the history of this ride, including the fact that it started out as a water ride with many water features.
After such a smooth and fast ride at Powderkeg, Brandon and I find ourselves running to Outlaw Run. It may appear as a wooden roller coaster, but don't be fooled! This smooth coaster is really running on some steel tracks laid on the wood. But that doesn't make this ride any less terrifying as you twist and turn through the beautiful Ozark's.
At this point in the day, we wish we could go back in time just to ride all of these rides again! Lucky for us, there is a time machine at this park in the form on roller coaster: Time Traveler. This coaster is unlike anything you have ridden before. Enjoy the 90 ft drop at the very beginning of the ride only to discover that your cart spins during the ride. While you try to figure out the spinning, you are launched two separate times. You'll find yourself wanting to travel back in time to ride this coaster over and over.
We end the day by saying goodbye to one of the best dark ride coasters. This ride has been on fire since 1972 and is about to be extinguished at the end of this season. Fire in the Hole is a must do at Silver Dollar City. Help us understand why Red Flander is missing his pants and crawling out of a window. "Fire in the hole!!!"
