Barry first found music when he borrowed his sister's record collection when he was about eight and was hooked. When Caroline started it was a new beginning, and he listened to all the stations, but Caroline was his favourite by far. Later he became a singer in a band, then started doing discos when he was 18. There has not been a time in U.S. history where the constitutionally protected right to vote has not been under attack for marginalized groups. It's nothing new. It's just a shame that this is still the case in 2024. I'm covering the attack on voting rights, and getting into the long history of challenges to voting for Black and brown people, young people, etc.
How are these tactics being reinforced in 2024? We'll use Georgia as a case study, as they're leading the way in voter roll purges at the moment. Be sure to visit www.vote.org to check up on your voter registration to make sure it’s active.
