201003. Day 109 of #AliveWithArt. :) Hey podcast - long time no post!!! :) I've quietly rebranded this podcast (again, yes I know lol) to "Alive With Art" where I just share my journey with art - whether it's as a as a creator or as an audience :)

If you follow me across my social media, you know that I used to track what I did every single day that would align with my journey as an artist - but I've only shared bits and pieces of it, but now there have been so many insights I want to share. At first this whole "Alive With Art" thing was about what I did to /create/ art, but eventually, it blossomed into just documenting how art is so interwoven into my life every day - aside from ending up in an artistic/creative career, I've come to notice how music gets me through hard times, commemorates fun moments, movies or shows make me enjoy life a bit more, things like that.

I love love loveeeee time capsules and these videos are one form of that. Recording these mini vlogs have been so therapeutic for me over the years. Though I was so frustrated at myself for never getting around to editing them, I guess things happen for a reason.

Anyway - this video was exactly 4 years ago! I truly can't believe how fast time flies. I genuinely didn't plan to release this 4 years later - I just happened to feel today that I wanted to go through my old stuff again and see what stuff I can finally be confident to share with you! :)If you're new here, I used to track what I did every single day that would align with my journey as an artist. This raw vlog is just me sharing my thought process on one of the first songs I wrote during the pandemic. It was a bit of a heavy song at the time, but it was one of those songs I wrote our of necessity, as a coping mechanism for the grief I felt. Watching this again, it's interesting to know what was going on in my life and in my mind at the time, and I'm happy I get to see this time capsule! So much has changed and I'm just grateful that over the past years, I've been learning more and more about how to navigate grief and grow around grief, thanks to my support system.

No ended up not releasing the song by the end of that year (2020) but I did end up posting the song on May 16, 2021 over on Soundcloud, after yet another series of losses, which I also wrote about on my blog. :)
