Sony began sending emails this week to PlayStation players deemed to have been worthy of the chance to pre-order a PlayStation 5 direct from the source, presumably in an effort to curb scalping and get more units into the hands of people that actually want them. But it's also a sign of just how limited production of the system may be, and how hard it may be to get one during its holiday season launch.
