In this first episode you'll learn about The Adult Chair® model, a framework designed to help people heal emotionally, overcome limiting beliefs, and achieve personal empowerment. If you’ve been struggling with past trauma, self-doubt, or just feeling stuck in life, this model offers a powerful path to transformation.
At the heart of The Model are three chairs, each representing a different stage of our psychological and emotional development. These chairs help us understand where our reactions come from and how to shift from patterns of survival to patterns of thriving.
- The Child Chair (0-6 years): This is where we hold our emotions, vulnerability, and core wounds from early childhood. It’s the seat of our emotional world, and our earliest experiences here shape how we respond to life later on. In this chair, we often feel our deepest emotions like fear, sadness, and joy, and learning to sit with these feelings is essential for emotional healing.
- The Adolescent Chair (7-25 years): This is where our ego takes center stage. Here, we act out of fear, control, judgment, and react to life through unconscious beliefs we’ve formed along the way. The Adolescent Chair is all about survival—whether it's worrying about others’ opinions, seeking approval, or resisting change. In this chair, we are often trapped in limiting beliefs and negative mindsets, which can keep us stuck in unhealthy patterns.
- The Adult Chair (25+ years): The ultimate goal of the model is to live from the Adult Chair. This chair represents our highest self—the seat of wisdom, logic, presence, and healthy decision-making. When we sit in the Adult Chair, we’re able to observe our emotions, thoughts, and behaviors without being controlled by them. We lead our lives from a place of empowerment, self-regulation, and authenticity, making choices that align with our true selves.
