Cherries' 3-1 victory against Saints on Monday night should have been more flattering. Three first half goals from Evanilson, Ouattara and Semenyo put the game out of reach early on, but despite a late rally, Russell Martin's side rarely looked like threatening Iraola's men. The tactics were questionable, the persistence with a failing plan was baffling, and Bournemouth, we were just licking our lips at everything he was doing.

The fatigue is perhaps understandable. In January we were playing with very few senior players, putting in shifts to accrue unlikely points in some crunch clashes, but whilst we achieved in adversity, there is a concern that the knock-on effect of over-working the same players has potentially culminated in our recent patchy spell - where individuals don't look as sharp as they have been previously.
