How do we equip our children to deal with the modern day challenges of bullying, especially in this digital age? This week, we're joined by our remarkable guest, Amy Joy, an autistic teacher and dedicated single mom who's here to shed some light on this vital issue. Amy brings to the table their personal experiences and expertise in dealing with bullying and communication, emphasizing the importance of parental presence in guiding children.
Amy imparts valuable insights about the power of open, honest conversations with our kids. They introduce us to the concept of the passive, assertive, and aggressive continuum— an effective tool in teaching our children how to face bullies without resorting to aggression. We also touch on the sensitive subject of child safety and addressing potential bullying behavior in our children.
Amy also stresses the significance of self-reflection to ensure that our own history and traumas don't affect how we converse with our children.
For those seeking additional resources, check out Amy's "Confident Bully-Proof Kids Workbook for Parents" and on demand course "Confident Bully-Proof Kids."
Join our enlightening discussion as we equip our children with the right skills to handle and prevent bullying, because every child deserves to feel safe, loved and understood.
