He has done work for major global media companies like The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal and many others. In the context of U.S. immigration law, an immigration parolee is an individual granted temporary permission to enter or remain in the United States but without establishing a path to permanent residency. Iryna Mazur, a U.S. immigration attorney and Honorary Consul of Ukraine to Philadelphia, discusses their current status under the Uniting for Ukraine (U4U) and Temporary Protected Status (TPS) federal programs. On January 27, 2025, the Trump administration placed all parole programs on hold, and also, Ukraine was never redesignated for another TPS period. The American actress and television producer Sarah Jessica Parker is the executive producer. The film tells the story of the United Ukrainian Ballet Company founded in the Hague in the Netherlands with a group of 60 Ukrainian war refugees in 2022 by the famous Dutch ballerina Igone de Jongh. An essential part of the film is the brotherly relationship that develops between ballet dancer Oleksiy Tiutiunnyk and 26-year-old Ukrainian wounded veteran Oleksandr Budko. Oleksandr meets the ballet company at a performance in Washington, D.C., and aspires to perform with them even though he is a double amputee. He eventually does in Los Angeles in July 2023.
