BREAKING NEWS – YWAM Benin Team Bus Accident
(Current as of Nov 3, 2024)
A bus accident with four vehicles has occurred between Lagos and the border of Benin near the town of Badagry. The incident involved 15 members of a YWAM team from Benin returning home from a regional gathering. It is with great sadness we report one fatality and two critical injuries. Local YWAM leaders and friends have been ensuring access to quality care and supporting family and friends. Over the last 24 hours, a global outpouring of love and concern has been received.
Family and friends have been notified, and memorial arrangements are underway. When more information becomes available, another update will be made on ywam.org.
Urgent prayer is still needed for the injured, and please continue to pray for everyone involved. Our hearts go out to all those who are impacted.
Donations to help cover emergency expenses can be made at ywamkona.org/donate.
YWAM Asheville Hurricane Recovery:
Hurricane Helene devastated a lot of the South-eastern United States, with thousands of people missing or dead, and some entire communities simply wiped out. YWAM has mobilised to assist with the recovery.
We have multiple reports from YWAM Asheville, including this first person report of when the winds and rain hit the city:
Swannanoa is a rural area west of Asheville. Areas like that one across western North Carolina were hit the hardest by Helene’s effects. YWAM Ashville’s staff and students are ministering to people like the woman in the video, sharing the light of Jesus amidst the darkness through serving others, prayer, and conversations.
They are serving the rural areas hit hard by Helene, helping churches acting as distribution centres to people in need and have so far created 1032 buckets of food for distribution, with each bucket feeding a family of 4 for 3 days.
The team is also helping to provide free meals every day to people in downtown Asheville this week.
The teams partnered with Operation Blessing with their work, and continue to help with the recovery in Asheville.

Typhoon Kristine Hits Philippines
YWAM Philippines is putting out a request for prayer and support at this time.
As the typhoon brings challenges to many across the nation, we are called to respond with faith and action. This is an opportunity for us to not only pray but also mobilize relief efforts, send outreach teams, and support those in need. Whether through prayer, practical assistance, or coming alongside local communities, let’s step in where God leads.
Together, we can be the hands and feet of Jesus in this time of need.

Haiti Massacre
“Last week a gang attacked a small town just outside of Saint Marc. The people of this village had been defending themselves and standing their ground against the gang for a while, but they ended up being attacked early Thursday morning. At least 70 people were killed in this devastating masacre. This sent hundreds of people running to Saint Marc for safety. We were so blessed to see the city of Saint Marc come together to help these people and carry their burdens. We were able to do a distribution of clothing, shoes and blankets. We also prepared and delivered food to 200 people. Please pray as this has left everyone scared for what the future holds for our city as well as the villages surrounding Saint Marc.”

YWAM Samoa Kings Kids Camp
YWAM Samoa recently completed their latest Kings Kids Camp. During their time they had lots of time of worship, activities, lectures, and games. During the camp they ministered in the local Fugalei market and bus station, and were welcomed at Uniting Church of Samoa and Living Word Church.
One evening the King’s Kids showcased a performance that included both acting and dance. Additionally, the Discipleship Training School (DTS) students presented a dramatization of God’s Story. They were also honoured to have special guests with them, the youth from the Protestant church community.

YWAM South Sudan, Juba
I had this update sent to me by YWAM South Sudan …
“Yesterday, ywam Juba we were able to gathered with more than 50 pastors and bishop from different churches in heartfelt prayer for our beloved nation, South Sudan. As we united in faith, we lifted up our hopes and dreams for healing, restoration, and peace. Our conversations with God remind us of the strength and resilience of our people, and we trust that our collective prayers will usher in a brighter future. Together, we are committed to standing in the gap for our nation, believing that transformation is possible. Let’s continue to seek divine guidance as we work hand in hand for a prosperous South Sudan.
“As we pray for our nation, we hold on to the words of Philippians 4:6-7: ‘Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.’ May our hopes rise for South Sudan!”
Keep praying for our nation South Sudan and Ywam Juba South Sudan our heart want to see the revival in churches
And if you want to to know more what God is doing, and your love, to be part of our ministry, by supporting and prayer we love to invite thank you so much.”
