This week on Womanity – Women in Unity, Dr. Amaleya Goneos-Malka talks to reigning Miss SA 2020 Shudufhadzo Musida about the pageant, how it has impacted on her life and some of the responsibilities that come with being Miss SA and serving as an ambassador to her country and continent. We discuss some of the social issues that Shudu is passionate about, encompassing the destigmatization of mental health, food security and empowering women through education. We emphasise the importance of role models, for younger people to aspire to achieve their dreams, whilst recognising someone in their own image has succeeded and thus serves as an example of success.
