My guest Dean Lloyd share his personal story that leads him to heroin addiction, crime, prison time, recovery and healing.
Dean grew up as an Athletic middle-class white boy who got himself mixed up in drugs. Marries a woman he meets in rehab, proposes to her on the back of an escort van after being sentenced to 4 years in prison for armed robbery. Gets out, gets married has a kid, gets divorced, becomes a single dad, which is the catalyst to get his life back on track. He builds a property portfolio, remarries, has 2 more kids, relapses and loses it all again. He is now been clean for some years, still happily married and on his way back up, running two businesses - Encapsulator - digital time capsules and Lloyd Consulting.
In this episode, we chat about the lessons from prison, the benefits of reflection, support, self-responsibility, connection to self, the impact of unconditional love and so much more.
I like to keep the episodes under an hour but I was so engrossed in Dean's story that I wanted to talk for hours.
