Have you been contending with a dead Facebook page? In this episode today I share with you how you can use your Facebook page and why Facebook pages are not actually dead.

Many people who have Facebook pages complain about the low reach/priority that Facebook gives to their page content. The reason for this, however, is because of the way the person built their page. FB's algorithm shows posts to people who are most likely to engage within that page's audience. If the page does not have a properly targetted audience on it the page owner will likely have a hard time getting reach because when the posts are shown they don't get any engagement. Another issue with FB pages is the fact that they have "if it is an ad make it an ad" rule. In many cases, if what you post qualifies as "being advertising" FB will sanction you in reach and prompt you to make an ad ( because they don't want to market for you for free. ) - Therefore if you are using a page and are updating your page, you want to make sure what you are posting is CONTENT not advertising. OR if it is advertising, that you use the paid features to target your page audience.

Facebook pages are a source of frustration for many business owners on Facebook who have no idea how they should be using them. Low reach frustrates many to the point that they have just given up. However, if you build a "targeted by interest" follower list on your page and post on the topic to what the page like ad has promised YOU CAN get reach and engagement.
