Jay sits down with international journalist and reporter Danny Gold, who has reported stories from almost every corner of the globe! Danny tells Jay about spending four months on a bike during an international race, and how he transitioned from bike rider into journalist. Danny dives into what it took for him to become a journalist, how he would fund his own trips overseas to do reporting, and how he always had a drive to be where history was being made. Danny even jokes about how his family did NOT support his trips to the Middle East, sneaking across the border in Syria, and what it takes to interview groups like MS-13 and ISIS. Danny also talks about PTSD amongst conflict journalists and how much journalists struggle behind the scenes having been in these tough situations.
