I spend half my life talking about stuff that doesn't actually exist... annoyance, frustration, worry, anxiety, stress, panic - all a figment of God knows whose imagination (this episode explains exactly what I mean by that).

In this episode we explore how we make "sense" of our daily lives (we actually make complete and utter nonsense of them), we explore the process known to psychology as cognitive appraisal.

You'll discover that your mood "enables" you choose your thoughts which, in turn, create your mood! Yes, if you need to read that sentence again, off you go - the essence of madness.

But there is so much more to this episode than just that. Understanding the function of cognitive appraisal makes what we have to do to break the automatic cycle all the more effortless.

As you might imagine, it all comes down to choice. As you might not imagine, it's a simple little choice - get this choice right and everything else begins to effortlessly fall into place. And, you know what, you discover how to enjoy life.
