Senior running back Rodrigues Clark joined GoTigers247 in this episode of Off the Boards.

Dreke is a redshirt senior running back who is the leader in the deep running back room for the Tigers. Dreke has been a consistent threat during his time at Memphis but his time has also been riddled with inconsistent playing time due to injuries. Dreke shares how he has been really involved in the little things this offseason, and part of that is doing consistent therapy on his body and eating good food. Dreke describes his first three years at Memphis as frustrating because he has lacked the mental fortitude to grind hard when the going gets tough. He has constantly built on his mental strength through his time at Memphis but he describes 2022 as the season where he really wants to show out for the Tigers on offense. He describes this offseason as an opportunity for the entire team to build up their mental strength to prepare themselves for the grind of the middle of the season. He explains that the beginning of the season everything seems easy and fun, but it is when adversity hits during the middle of the season, only the strong will survive. He believes that the Tigers have done a great job of getting themselves ready for the grind of the middle of the season.

In the second segment Dreke talks about the offense under new offensive coordinator, Tim Cramsey. He shares how excited he is to get out on the field and dominate this season under the new offense. He shares how he has taken on a new leadership role this year as a veteran on the team. He describes how he learned the standard of Memphis football under the leadership of former Tigers like Patrick Taylor, Kenny Gainwell, and Damonte Coxie. He shares that he's not the most vocal leader on the team, but he is a guy who shows his leadership through his actions. But he also says when he does speak up, the other guys better listen because he is saying something that needs to be said.
