In today’s show, Jorge interviews real estate agent and investor, Gurpreet Thind. Gurpreet is the CEO of Thind Group and a Sales Representative with eXp Realty.

Gurpreet shares his inspiring life story, how he made it big as a real estate agent, and reveals how you can cultivate a stellar mindset to grow and scale your real estate business in spite of the pandemic.

Gurpreet majored in Economics and Business from Wilfried Laurier. Upon graduation, he worked in the finance field for a number of years.

Ultimately, a yearning for a better work-life balance had him switching tracks. Gurpreet made the decision to quit his cushy but demanding finance job as he signed up to work as an agent with Remax on a 100% commission basis.

This stint was a short-lived one as Gurpreet wasn’t very happy with the quality of training and support here. This is when he stumbled across condos.ca, a small tech-focused brokerage. In this next segment of the show, Gurpreet shares how he oversaw a 400% revenue and a 1000% headcount growth over his 5-year tenure.

After this extremely rewarding stint, Gurpreet worked with Keller Williams for a bit – before the pandemic struck.

While many of his peers quit the business altogether, Gurpreet’s persistence and ingenuity again came to the fore in these trying times.

Gurpreet joined eXp Realty, a cloud-based real estate portal whose business model is perfectly in sync with the current market situation.

Gurpreet gives us a “peek” into the virtual world of eXp Realty and shares how the pandemic has hastened technological adoption – and massively fueled growth.
