Song Lyrics Decline, Eton's Dumbphones, McDonald's Happy Meal Rebrand
Manage episode 428041970 series 3390066
In the first part of today's show, we looked at how song lyrics are getting simpler, more repetitive, angry, and self-obsessed. Then we talk about a new study linking prolonged pacifier use to reduced vocabulary size in infants. Finally, we discovered that first-year Eton College students must trade their smartphones for school-provided "dumb" Nokias.
Today's unpopular opinion is that interviews are a terrible way to know if someone is good for a job.
In the second half of the show, we asked 100 humans to name something they’d hate to forget to do during a job interview. Later we saw McDonald's rebranding their Happy Meal as just 'The Meal' for Mental Health Awareness Week.
