In a time where there is so much happening in the world - a Global pandemic; open season on black people - it is important that we know how to protect our peace. Your peace is that inner calm; that assurance, the spiritual and mental balance you create to deal with any and everything life throws at you. The five tips I share in this episode are meant to guide you and give you ideas about how you can protect your peace. You can implement all five; just one or as needed.

To protect your peace you should:

1. Take care of yourself - your body, mind and soul. (If you have trouble sleeping you can try magnesium supplements. "Magnesium may improve your sleep. It plays an important role in your nervous system, it helps to activate mechanisms that quiet and calm you. Magnesium helps to slow down your thinking by regulating a neurotransmitter called GABA. This neurotransmitter slows down communication between your brain and your central nervous system; helping you to relax, de-stress and ultimately fall asleep"

2. Pay attention to where you pay attention - Whatever you give your attention to is amplified; so if you look for the beauty in life that is all you will see. Conversely, if all you look for all this is wrong with this world; you will find it. Thought leaders share the principle that energy goes where energy flows; so be mindful of what gets your attention.

3. Enforce your boundaries - Learn to say no. Your boundaries are meant to protect you. You should know your limits as it relates to your emotional and mental health. Don't take on the emotional burden of others. Take a step back and don't be so accessible to others.

4. Be grateful - examine your life to see all the blessings you have in your life and all the things that are good about your life. Remind yourself; that there a persons who would trade places with you; so acknowledge the good in your life and be sincere with your gratitude. This will change your perspective and unlock all the magic in your life.

5. Be intentional with your thoughts, words and actions - your thoughts influence your perspective and impact your speech and actions. So be mindful of your thoughts. Feed your mind with uplifting content, positive affirms, empowering information. Guard your speech and don't damn yourself and retard your progress with your speech. Be an active participant in your life and be mindful of your actions.

I hope as you navigate the rest of this month, year and this thing called life. Remember your peace is precious.

There are two sides to every coin; just flip it to get the full view.
