In March 2014 a game was released, a game in which a lone pilot would fight a futuristic war both inside and outside of an AI driven Mech suit. That game was called Titanfall. This is not that game. This is a netflix movie called Atlas; a film about a lone pilot in an AI driven Mech Suit fighting a futuristic war, both in and out of the suit. It’s totally different.

The mech suits are filled this week with DION, and QUINNY as the AI guidance systems and Jill and Peta the competent but angry pilots… Our only hope of enjoying this movie? To laugh at it copiously…from orbit. It’s the only way to be sure.

Synopsis:

Atlas Shepherd, a brilliant but misanthropic data analyst with a deep distrust of artificial intelligence, joins a mission to capture a renegade robot with whom she shares a mysterious past. But when plans go awry, her only hope of saving the future of humanity from AI is to trust it.
