We are excited to have Mark Josephson as our guest for our first Live Streamed episode!
Mark Josephson is a seasoned CEO, entrepreneur, executive coach, and podcast host with over 30 years of experience leading venture-backed and private equity-backed companies to success. Having served as CEO three times, he has a proven track record of driving growth, building exceptional teams, and guiding companies through all stages of development, from early startups to large-scale organizations—all culminating in successful acquisitions.
Mark’s leadership journey includes founding and leading Castiron to a successful sale in 2024. As CEO of Bitly, he scaled the team and business, culminating in a sale to Spectrum Equity in 2017. During his tenure at AOL Local, he grew revenue to over $50 million in 2013. He built and sold Outside.in to AOL in 2011, increased Seevast’s revenue to more than $100 million in 2006, and played a pivotal role in About.com’s IPO and subsequent sale to Primedia in 1999 and 2000. Throughout his career, he has consistently fostered high-performance cultures, earning a 91% CEO approval rating on Glassdoor.
As the host of Critical Moments, a podcast that explores the pivotal decisions and challenges leaders face, Mark delves into candid conversations with business leaders to uncover the lessons, strategies, and stories behind their success. His coaching, much like his podcast, is grounded in his extensive real-world experience, offering CEOs and senior leaders the tools, strategies, and insights needed to achieve meaningful growth while maintaining balance in their lives.
A proud husband and father, Mark lives in Sag Harbor, NY, with his wife, three sons, and a spirited dog. He is a lifelong fan of Boston sports and an enthusiastic Bruce Springsteen devotee.
