In this talk, Dr. James Mellon discusses the first three chapters of "The Science of Mind" textbook by Ernest Holmes.
The first chapter is about the principle that we are spiritual beings living in a spiritual universe governed by the law of cause and effect. The second chapter discusses the way it works, which is through our use of the law of cause and effect.
The third chapter, which is the focus of this talk, is about what it does, which depends on what we decide it does.
Dr. James emphasizes that we should approach the study of the Science of Mind rationally, and not expect to derive any benefits from it that its principle does not contain.
He also reminds us that we are spiritual beings first and foremost, and that our entire world operates under Divine Law. The law can only operate on what we truly believe, so we must convince ourselves that we can have vibrant health, prosperity, and unconditional love in our lives.
