In this episode, we continue to unravel the chilling case of Rodney Alcala, the serial killer who shockingly appeared on The Dating Game in the 1970s. We definitely noticed the unsettling contrast between his "charming" TV persona and his horrific crimes, including the harrowing survival story of 15 year old Monique Hoyt. This case is one that frustratingly highlights the failures of the systems meant to protect the vulnerable. We discuss how Rodney finally spent the rest of his life in prison, but not before THREE trials, in one of which, Rodney of course chose to represent himself.
