Season 1-Rebels with a cause.
In this episode Joshua and Aaron address the stances we take as black men to face a world that doesn’t love us, but ultimately fears us. We discuss the world-wide glamorisation of the fear of us as black men and ask, “Why we choose to buy into these labels?”
We also assess whether our desired to be feared derives from a deeper desire to be respected. Finally, we make an ode to concepts from the late great “bell hooks”(RIP), revisiting the idea that black men are rarely ever loved –(The Will to Change by bell hooks).
