We take it for granted that effective teams apply crisis resource management skills during emergency care, but how often do those teams also rehearse teamwork from the start of each shift together, through centering, agreements, briefings, and practicing connectedness? Amelia Rudolph and Rebecca Minehart share how preparing teams means more than practicing drills, and that conceptualizing care delivered through a “score,” knowing each team member’s essential parts, can help us stay nimble during dynamically shifting crises.
