Journalism has been at the heart of American society from its earliest days. The success of self governance relies on an informed electorate and that is the reason why the press and freedom of the press is called out very specifically in the constitution.
In this final episode of the series on Media & Journalism, I'm exploring Journalism's seat within the framework of The Media, how and why it remains an important function in our country and some examples of how it has actually shaped public policy in addition to public opinion.
