Today I am honoured to have my mentor on the show, Korouch Monsef.

Korouch is not only a top class practitioner, coach, coach educator and diverse thinker, but someone that I owe a great debt of gratitude to, as he challenged me to be better in so many ways during those formative years as a coach and a football development manager.

I was fortunate enough to play under Korouch in two different leagues as well as employ him to lead our talent pathway whilst I was at Coastal Spirit.

Since those earlier days, he has gone on to lead the evolution of football for many coaches and clubs across NZ through his various roles, none more important than leading the advanced coach development courses through NZF.

This was a special episode for me, a slightly different format than past episodes as I attempt to highlight the pivotal role that mentors can provide us all, as well as the value of ongoing education.
