It is a family-owned walk-up-styled eatery popular for serving hot dogs, polishes, and burgers under an awning 24 hours daily. There are several locations, but today’s story takes place in the West Pullman neighborhood on the city’s far south side. The south side of the Chi is considered one of the most dangerous and crime-dense areas in the country.
