In this episode you will meet industry expert Dan Rubottom! Dan has over thirty years of experience in film and television, Dan is sought-after extensively for his skills in directing, cinematography, editing, motion graphics, visual effects and color grading. He has directed, shot and edited hundreds of episodes for award-winning episodic television, documentaries, commercials, short films and music videos on multiple continents with notables including Joel Osteen, Luis Palau, Rascal Flatts, Toby Mac, Carman, Oral Roberts and many more.
After completing 18 years at Joel Osteen Ministries as producer of special projects, Dan now runs DMR Films, producing short form to feature film projects, and consulting with internationally branded organizations and content-driven projects.
He was recently the director of photography, 2nd Unit Director, editor and post supervisor on the $2 million feature film, Palau, shot in Argentina and released in over 300 theaters across the US in 2018. He has several other feature films in development, including action/thriller The Chase, his first feature-length screenplay.
Coming soon, Dan is launching visual asset products, coaching and training courses to train up the next generation of filmmakers at www.dansfx.tv.
Dan resides in Houston, Texas with his family.
