I was born, raised and grown up in a very tiny small remote island in the South Pacific called Niuatoptapu part of Tonga region. No electricity we have kerosene lamp and outdoor fire for cooking , water were operating by obsolete diesel pumps and sometimes it running and sometimes it stopped. People survived by the land and the sea . Life it was an adventure back then, most activities were outdoor like cooking, playing and entertaining. Sea is our heaven where we fish, swim and picnic. Migrated to the mainland due for further education and from there I met my wife where I came on a student culture exchange program to Australia twice. I got married and migrated to Australia in 2003. Was tough and very challenging but with God’s grace we been blessed with two wonderful teenagers son 21 this month and our daughter 18 in October. I always a dreamer when growing up always fascinated when look at jet travel pass our small island and told my mum that I will travel the world one days without knowing the universe is listening and my wish is his command. I have been fortunate to travel a few places without me funding my travel. like Australia, New Zealand, Samoa, HongKong, Malaysia, Bali and Singapore and no doubt there will be more places to visit. I’m the second to the youngest in a big family of 11 x siblings(7 x brothers and 4 sisters). I have a few names my birth certificate’s name is Joye( Sioi in Tongan I always thought my dad made a mistake when he registered my name but I now realised he did not make a mistake my name is Joye = Joy (happy) + e (energy) Maka(my middle name means Rock) Unga ( last name means hermit crab( this creature their body are soft but they find the hardest shell to live there and even tough they travel slowly on the sand or rocks but they will get to there destination eventually because they are very determined little creatures) In Australia, people call me Joey, Oi short for Sioi or Joseph because I always told them about my dreams and it relates some how to the story of Joseph in the Bible. Two main events that change my life When I was 9 years old I got really sick and almost die in the island. My dad rescued me. In 2020 I was burned out and exhausted from work multiple jobs to support my family as I was the only bread earners as my wife becomes a full time mother to our children. I had a heart attack thank God everything was ok and that when I make a decision I have to change a few things in my life. Especially my health(physically and mentally) that leads me to Bob Proctor I became one of his students for one year before he passed away in 2022. At the same year at 2021 I was introduced to her wife Linda Proctor his wife and the profession of Network Marketing and now I’m currently working with Linda building a network of Distribution mainly in Australia and part in Canada and America. I also invested in realestate where I have a portfolio over 5 states in AUSTRALIA. I am grateful for my journey to be honest . I had a lots of challenging and adversary but very rewarding after being persistent and take courage to face my fears and takes some risk decisions. Last two years I decided to join the Australian army as an Army Reserve (part time) combat engineer as a way to give back to Australia and it community. I love volunteering and always passionate to focus on service driven life. I believe in serving others through service, contribution and influence. It is a great joy when I experienced and understand that I make a difference and impact on other people’s life. For the future I would love to build my network distribution all over the world helping more people free from physical and financial pain and in that process to become the best version of myself as a leader and a role model to my island, children, people and community. I would love to travel more and complete one of my goals to convert my story into a book so that I can inspire the generation to comes because I am just an island boy with a huge dream to make an impact and difference to the world and the people that I come in contact with. Thank you once again for the opportunity to share my story. It means the world to me and I am so grateful.
