We discuss the push by the Texas governor for school vouchers in Texas, despite the fact that most voters do not want them, and many legislators in Texas also do not support them. It should be noted that Texas had a $3Billion surplus, though schools were not fully funded. Vouchers are a way to kill public education, and this will affect rural districts economically. The governor's push is an attack on the schoolchildren, an attack on teachers, and an attack on rural populations in Texas.

We discuss how the mood of the country has shifted with the nomination of Kamala Harris and Tim Walz. The political left is more energized, for many reasons we discuss. We also note that Trump is likely to sell off his stock in "Truth Social", thus profiting stockholders' losses. The site is not running at a profit, and likely to decline even more.
