My guest Rashmi Misra is the Founder and Chairperson of an NGO called VIDYA with a mission of empowering and transforming lives through education. VIDYA has changed the lives of hundreds and thousands of underserved children empowering them with a good education. In this episode we will also meet two girls who have benefited from her work.

VIDYA is a non-profit NGO founded over 35 years ago, VIDYA has impacted the lives of 4,00,000 people, more than half of which include girls and women. Founded in 1985 by Rashmi Misra, it began with her teaching a class of five girls in her home on the campus of IIT Delhi.
