Black maternal death rates are alarmingly high and rising. Olympic gold medalist Tori Bowie is one of the latest victims of this epidemic. Racial bias is endemic to the American healthcare system. Learn the historical roots (from slavery) of medical racism in the United States. We will also discuss how Black women can protect themselves within the medical system and in the doctor's office.
