Today’s episode of the Performance Mindset podcast features Steve Brewer, Amy’s longtime friend and a golf coach and DubsDread Golf Course in Orlando, Florida. Steve is in his 17th season at DubsDread and has a team of two full-time coaches and a couple of part-time coaches. During his time in the coaching world, Steve has learned several practical methods for gradually improving your golf game–but those skills translate off the course just as well. During their conversation, Steve shares his three skill blocks of golf, why you must commit to the process, and why having a good coach is critical to identifying your blind spots.

In this episode, you’ll hear:

  1. Amy and Steve Brewer’s longstanding friendship and Steve’s involvement with an early iteration of the foundation she’s launching.
  2. His involvement with DubsDread Golf Course and Operation 36 alongside his coaching business.
  3. Steve’s three skill blocks of golf: mental, fundamental, and playing.
  4. Committing to a process and focusing on the results.
  5. The four things Steve spends his time doing.
  6. How having a good coach can help you identify your blind spots.
  7. Having five or six people you can really count on in a time of need.
  8. Taking a chance when you meet someone you can connect with.
