Well, Prince Harry might not have a neck tattoo (yet), but he’s got something almost as outrageous: a new viral moment with Jelly Roll. In a hilarious new promotional video for the Invictus Games, the Duke of Sussex sat down for what seemed like his royal ink debut at a New York City tattoo parlor. Spoiler alert: it was all a ruse to announce Jelly Roll as the headliner for the 2025 Games’ closing ceremony in Vancouver.
The video features Jelly Roll pretending to tattoo Harry, who nervously negotiated locations for his hypothetical first tattoo. “Lower back or my ass,” Harry suggested, proving the royal sense of humor is alive and well. But Jelly Roll, clearly a neck tattoo enthusiast, had other plans—and, for dramatic effect, pretended to leave his signature on Harry’s neck.
As for Jelly Roll, his performance on February 16, 2025, will undoubtedly bring his signature flair to the Invictus Games’ first winter edition. And who knows? Maybe Harry will show up with a real tattoo next time—although it probably won’t say “I am Jelly Roll.”
Royal watchers feel Harry looks smiley and relaxed, despite not having Meghan at his side.
