In this week's episode of Nerds Talking: The Podcast, it's just two of the original nerds holding down the fort—Lafayette and Carlos! They dive into a review of Hellboy: The Crooked Man, the latest reboot of the Hellboy film series based on the Dark Horse Comics character created by Mike Mignola. Directed by Brian Taylor and co-written by Mignola and Christopher Golden, the film adapts The Crooked Man limited series. Starring Jack Kesy as Hellboy, the story follows Hellboy and rookie Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense (B.P.R.D.) agent Bobbie Jo Song, who find themselves stranded in rural Appalachia after a train crash while transporting a shapeshifting spider. With the creature on the loose, they team up with ex-soldier Tom Ferrell, who shares the chilling tale of Jeremiah Witkins, a thief executed long ago who returned as the supernatural entity known as "The Crooked Man."

Next, the duo shifts gears to review Wolfs, the thrilling new Apple TV movie starring Brad Pitt and George Clooney. The story follows Manhattan District Attorney Margaret, who panics after a young man she met at her hotel bar ends up dead in her room. Desperate, she calls in a professional fixer to clean up the mess, but things get complicated when another fixer, sent by the hotel's mysterious owner, intervenes. The two men are forced to work together to protect both the hotel's reputation and Margaret's career.

Finally, Lafayette and Carlos wrap up with a discussion on the Netflix documentary about the Menendez Brothers, delving into the infamous case and its lasting impact. Tune in for all that and more on this week's episode of Nerds Talking: The Podcast!
