Even in the midst of a scandalous pregnancy, she dared to utter an unlikely joy from the depths of her soul + body. Her incarnate mothering gave birth to the Incarnate Messiah. Asé + Amen.

Momma Mary (Miriam) is the epitome of rising and making something of life, together, in community, in the face of suffering—unspeakable joy.

just as he promised our ancestors.”
