Hailing from Montreal, Canada Joe Mesmar’s career has been growing at an exponential rate by getting noticed by big artists such as Josh Wink, Richie Hawtin, Sam Paganini, Stacy Pullen, AnGy KoRe, Koen Groeneveld and many others. For Joe Mesmar it all began when his hobby turned into something more serious when he won a Beatport remix contest Josh Wink's track "Balls". His dark and hard-hitting techno sounds have captivated audiences, while proving a mesmerizing experience for those who’ve experienced his sets. Originally an electro DJ, Joe Mesmar found his sweet spot with techno while teaching himself, with a the help of a close friend, production techniques and perfecting his DJ abilities has proven he’s an artist to watch. Joe Mesmar’s DJ sets have mesmerized audiences at Montreal's premiere nightclub, Circus Afterhours, ranked #43 worldwide. At Circus, Joe Mesmar had the pleasure of supporting acts like Sasha Carassi, Oliver Hunterman, UMEK, and Ant Brooks. Within a year, Joe Mesmar has released over 50 tracks on Beatport with many of them entering the top of the charts in the techno category. Now with a bigger focus in production, Mesmar has released an expansive set of sounds across a variety of labels including Naked Lunch, Bosphorus Underground, Ovum Recordings and his highly anticipated two-part EP release on KMS Records. Joe Mesmar stays active in the techno scene by always keeping his fans on their toes by releasing tracks on a consistent basis. His track "After Effect" was ranked #13 on the Beatport techno chart upon it's release. His roots are deeply embedded into the city of Montreal, but his career is growing beyond. After having experienced the New York City through his show at Sullivan Room, Joe Mesmar will be spreading his reach into the European market through his Sub:Merged party at ADE in Amsterdam.
