The iPhone 16 is powered by the Apple A18 chip, manufactured on the latest 3nm process, a significant advancement over the Apple A14 Bionic on the iPhone 12 (5nm). The A18 Pro has a 6-core CPU, 5-core GPU, and a 16-core Neural Engine, more powerful than the 6-core CPU, 4-core GPU, and 16-core Neural Engine on the A14 Bionic.
The iPhone 16 also has 6GB of RAM, larger than the 4GB of RAM on the iPhone 12, enabling smoother multitasking and better handling of demanding tasks. Both the iPhone 16 and iPhone 12 have a starting storage of 128GB, while the iPhone 12 only had 64GB.

The iPhone 16 features a dual 48MP camera setup with a primary camera of f/1.6 aperture and a 12MP ultra-wide camera of f/2.4 aperture. The iPhone 12 also has a dual 12MP camera setup with similar specifications. Both have a 12MP selfie camera and Face ID.
