What do we do when making space for ourselves and others creates a massive shift in our belief system? How can we hold onto our belonging and identity when everything feels like it has shifted? I am grateful to Colby Martin the author of “the Shift” and for this conversation about shifting in your beliefs, and finding hope in helping others in the midst of their own shift. Colby was willing to hop on Making Spaces with literally zero preparation and we had an incredible conversation about making space.

Colby wears many hats (which I can appreciate)- he is the cofounder of Sojourn Grace Collective in San Diego, and he cohosts his own podcast “The Kate and Colby Show.” He also helps to resource progressive Christian communities across the US through Launchpad partners, and as if that isn't enough he also has written two books "Unclobber- Rethinking our Misuse of the Bible on Homosexuality" and recently “The Shift- Surviving and Thriving after Moving from Conservative to Progressive Christianity." I hope this conversation is helpful and inspiring whether you are in season of needing a space or making a space for people shifting in their belief system.
