The Philadelphia Phillies evened things up in their 3-game series in Atlanta as they came back from 2-0, to beat the Braves, 3-2 Wednesday night!

Aaron Nola surrendered a 2-run homer to Orlando Arcia in the 4th inning and with the way the Phillies offense had been going, a 2-run deficit felt like 10! Then the Phils started to get things going.

Edmundo Sosa led off the 6th inning with a single to left, then Johan Rojas followed with a double off the wall in left. Just like that the Phillies had runners on 2nd and 3rd with no outs. Kyle Schwarber stepped to the plate and brought Sosa home with an RBI ground out to short. Then Trea Turner plated Rojas on a sac fly to center to tie the score at 2.

In the 8th, Weston Wilson lead off with a double for his second hit of the ball game, then Rob Thomson went to the bench, sending up two pinch hitters. Bryson Stott hit for Sosa, and advanced Wilson to 3rd on a flu ball to deep center field. Then Brandon Marsh was sent up to hit for Rojas. Marsh delivered game winning sac fly RBI to left.

Phillies starter Aaron Nola was pulled with one out in the 6th inning in favor of Jeff Hoffman. The All-Star reliever inherited runners on 1st and 2nd with 1 out and was able to induce the 4-6-3 double play to get out of the jam. Nola’s lined closed at 5.1ip allowing 2 runs on 8 hits while throwing 100 pitches.
