A rough 3rd inning for Aaron Nola led to the Philadelphia Phillies taking a 5-3 loss to the Dodgers to open their 3-game series in Los Angeles.

The Phillies jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the 2nd inning by taking advantage of some lucky situations. Nick Castellanos led off the inning with a long liner to center field that was misplayed by Dodgers center fielder Andy Pages that resulted in Castellanos getting a 2-out triple. He was brought home on an infield chopper of a single by Bryson Stott, who was JUST to beat Tyler Glasnow’s throw to first. Stott later came around to score on a Glasnow wild pitch.

The Dodgers then stormed back in the 3rd inning taking Aaron Nola for all four runs he would surrender in his start. The big hit came off the bat of Teoscar Hernandez who smacked a 2-run homer to left.

In total Nola tossed 6 inning allowing 4 runs on 8 hits and dropped to 11-5 on the season.

Segment 1: THREE BIG THINGS: 1). Phillies were lucky in this game with how they scored their runs, especially their first two. 2) Aaron had one really bad inning! 3) The Phillies approach at the plate was terrible! 9Th Inning, Castellanos wins an 8-pitch AB with a single, then Stott, Hays and Stubbs all swing at the first pitch. All three popped out to the left side of the infield
