Even in an exhibition, having six consecutive three-and-out is inexcusable and unfortunately it feels like Stick has regressed since his starts last season. Dan and David breakdown the Chargers preseason opener including their intrigue in newly signed QB Luis Perez who gave the offense a spark on short notice. Not all was bad offensively because first round pick Joe Alt looked good in his first action on the right side, both pass protecting and in the run game. The guys also get into why they're encouraged by the showing of the defense with Jesse Minter's unit playing well. The defense got standout performances from linebackers Troy Dye and Nick Neimann, and Minter also very effectively created pressures with his defensive backs.
