The Chargers are going to look incredibly different in 2024, but Jim Harbaugh over Brandon Staley is where the team is going to get their biggest improvement. New DC Jesse Minter is another elite addition for Los Angeles, giving them a chance to finally turnaround what has been a bad defense. Dan and David take an overarching look at the offseason so far including the biggest question; did the Chargers actually improve on offense and defense? It's hard to argue that an offense can be more talented after losing an elite player like Keenan Allen, but it should be deeper and more balanced. It's also important to remember the team rarely had Mike Williams in 2023, and had the worst version of Austin Ekeler. The Chargers defense definitely improved, even without splashy additions, because the players they lose were often liabilities last year.
