“There are a great number of people who will dispatch their honor, bury their morals and sell their integrity for the sole purpose of achieving and maintaining the title, power and position of leader. Their concern is not for those they lead. Their concern is not for the outcomes or results of their leadership, policies and programs. Their concern is not for posterity; the well being of their great grandchildren. They may claim, tout and sell all of these ideas, but their real driving force is the momentum of their ambition. They want, they crave, they covet power in any form. These are not leaders, they are wolves, they are vultures and they are social cannibals. I challenge you to lead for the outcomes of posterity, the well being of others, the success of those you lead and the hope of future generations. If that is not cause enough to motivate your ambitions and sacrifices, you are not yet mature enough for leadership no matter the number of your counted birthdays.”
