In 2 Samuel 12:1-10, the prophet Nathan confronts King David after he had committed adultery with Bathsheba and arranged for her husband Uriah's death. Nathan tells David a parable about a rich man who unjustly takes a poor man's only beloved lamb instead of using one of his own many lambs.
