Have you ever imagined what circumstances would make you want to take the law into your own hands? Into Our Own Hands is a true crime podcast telling the stories of victims and survivors of interpersonal violence. They may have been accused of, arrested and tried for, or even convicted of a crime in response to their own experiences of violence. Was their crime a need for revenge, an act of vigilantism, or their pursuit of justice, when the legal system has failed them?
I am your host, Lindsey. And, with my background expertise in sexual violence, I have always been fascinated by the stories of INjustice that lead people to circumnavigate the legal system by their own means. I will peel back the layers of true crime stories and ask fellow experts what structural change needs to occur, so these crimes no longer happen in the first place.
